According to Blizzard, they want to take it offline so that they can move onto the next stage of development by going through everything you guys have told them. “This phase of development has been key, but now it’s time to analyze the data we have, dig into your feedback even further, and put that knowledge to use as best we can. During this downtime, we’re looking forward to making more improvements to the game, as well as continuing to work on in-development features like spectating and progression.”
The good news is that the closure of the beta is temporary as Blizzard expects it to begin again sometime in January 2016. Those who had access to the closed beta will continue to have access once it goes live again, but unfortunately from now until the 10th of December, no new players will be added to the list. However once the beta is opened again, you can expect an invitation if you have been chosen.
In the meantime gamers can pre-order the game and it is expected to be released in the spring of 2016, so even if you don’t get in on the closed beta, don’t worry as the game’s release should not be too far behind.
