Just yesterday Square Enix released the gameplay trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake for the PlayStation 4, and boy were we impressed and we have to say that we are very excited for it. At the same time we know that there are plenty of gamers out there who have yet to experience the original title.
The good news is that if you have never played the original Final Fantasy VII, or if you want to replay the game, you might be pleased to learn that Sony has recently announced on Twitter that the original Final Fantasy VII has been released for the PS4. The original game was released in 1997 meaning that the game is almost two decades old!
Given the reactions gamers had when the remake was announced, the fanbase of Final Fantasy VII is still very strong so if you’d like to see what all the fuss is about, and maybe play the original and get an idea of how different it is from the upcoming remake, then this is a title worth checking out.
Obviously some notable differences would be in the graphics and the gameplay, in which the original title relied on turn-based combat and the remake will be exploring something else entirely. If you’d like to check it out, fire up your PS4 and head on over to the PlayStation Store to get your hands on it.
