Google Releases Cases For Its OnHub WiFi Router

Routers are usually devices that once we set it up, we leave it in its place and not bother with it until something goes wrong. However Google has other ideas because they have officially unveiled a trio of official cases designed for the OnHub WiFi router in mind. Yes, these are actually cases that you can slip onto your router if you choose.

Why would anyone need a case for a router? We suppose it is understandable that some users might prioritize aesthetics and so by giving it a case, it would allow the router to blend in nicely with the rest of their furniture and interior design. The official cases include a wooden-looking one, along with two other options that offer up a two-tone color mix.

However that’s not all. It seems that Google is also encouraging users to design their own OnHub router cases. “We’ve put together all of the information you need to customize an OnHub shell. Whether you’re using a laser cutter or simple finger paints, download the Maker Packet for 3D files, 2D patterns, and useful guidelines. Once you’re done, be sure to share your designs online using the hashtag #OnHubMakers, and we may feature your design in our gallery.”

So if you’re looking to spice things up a bit, you might want to head on over to Google’s OnHub Makers website for the instructions and files to download to start making your own.
