Over the past year or so Microsoft has released multiple new applications for competing platforms like Android and iOS, today it’s continuing this trend by launching a selfie app for iPhone, the app is very aptly called Microsoft Selfie so there’s really no confusing on what it’s supposed to help you out with. Think of this as basically a version of the Lumia Selfie app on Windows Phone for the iPhone.
The Microsoft Selfie app can be used to improve qualities like skin tone, lighting, and color balance to come up with a perfect selfie shot. It’s not uncommon for people to spend a good amount of time tweaking every little quality of their selfie before posting it online so Microsoft Selfie will prove to be useful for them.
The app is even capable of making “intelligent enhancements” to selfies by taking into account variables that include lighting, skin tone, age, gender and many others. It also features 13 filters to add more effects to the selfie, make overall improvements and reduce noise.
Microsoft Selfie is now available as a free download for iPhone from the App Store. The company is yet to confirm if and when this app will arrive on Android.
