There is always an advantage in ensuring that you have the latest and greatest version of whatever you are using at a particular point in time. Support, for starters, would be up-to-date, and you will also be able to be assured of full compatibility with whatever software or apps that are released. Having said that, we do know that Call of Duty: Black Ops III will be on the receiving end of a new DLC that is known as Awakening, and we also know that it is well on its way for current generation consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. However, those who are still rocking to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will have to sit this one out.
It will most definitely be a piece of disappointing news for gamers who picked up the latest DLC while they are still attached to their previous generation consoles, but it should be expected. After all, earlier in the year, there was an announcement made concerning the single player portion of Black Ops III, citing that it will miss the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, and that these iterations will only feature multiplayer and Zombies DLC.
I suppose if you have been holding out for a console upgrade for quite some time already, perhaps now would be a good time to make that jump.
