There has been some concern among Lamborghini fans that the Huracan LP 580-2 is not going to be as tail-happy as they would like it to be, or as Lamborghini supercars have been in the past. The Italian car manufacturer has put those concerns to rest by releasing a new video which shows that the Huracan LP 580-2 is capable of drifting like the best of them, and then some.
Lamborghini shot this video at the iconic Imola racetrack in Italy, we get a good look at the car’s ability to go sideways, making it feel like the car was meant to go sideways in the first place. This should end concerns about it not being tail-happy once and for all.
The company does mention that this car features its “enjoyable technology” since switching to the RWD configuration not only makes the car more fun to drive but also allows it to be significantly cheaper than an AWD configuration. As compared to the LP 610-4 it’s down 30hp and does happen to be 72 lbs lighter, which does work in its favor.
That’s not the only difference between the two models, Lamborghini engineers have also tweaked the suspension, steering, traction and stability control systems to make the driver feel more connected to the Huracan and make the car more fun to drive. From the looks of it Lamborghini has been able to do just that.
