For starters there will be the full electric version of the car for those who wish to go all out. There will also be a plug-in gasoline/electric hybrid for those who would still prefer the range afforded by gas-powered vehicles, and there will also be a regular gasoline/electric hybrid, similar to other hybrids in the market today like the Toyota Prius and Honda Insight.
So far based on the renderings, we love what we are seeing and have to say that the Ioniq is one heck of a sleek-looking vehicle. However Hyundai won’t just be paying attention to the exterior as the interior has been well thought out. “Inside the IONIQ the smooth, elegant and clutter-free theme continues. There is efficient use of interior space and a clear, logical approach is applied to the layout of control functions. Simple and stylish surfaces make use of eco-friendly materials to convey a futuristic yet warm cabin ambience that will appeal to a new generation of motorists.”
Hyundai is expected to debut the vehicle in Korea next month before taking it on a tour where it will stop by the Geneva Motor Show and New York Auto Show in March 2016.
