Along with the headset, the FCC filing has also revealed that other components of the HTC Vive have been approved, such as its controller, base station, and link box. Unfortunately no images were spotted but if recently leaked images are any accurate, we kind of have an idea of what we can expect from the HTC Vive.
The HTC Vive was initially planned for a launch by the end of the year but it was delayed. However HTC CEO Cher Wang had revealed that the reason for the delay was because HTC had made some pretty big breakthroughs in terms of the technological aspects of the headset, leading them to focus on the newer model instead of the older one, leading to the delay.
We know that some of you guys might be disappointed, but HTC is expected to demo the new HTC Vive headset in a big way at CES 2016 next month, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!
