Over the past few weeks it has been rumored multiple times that HTC is going to unveil a new smartphone in the near future. It was expected that the company would make this device official today and it has. The HTC One X9 has been officially unveiled today, a launch event was held in China to show off this device to the world.
The latest addition to HTC’s One X lineup features 5.5 inch full HD 1080p display and is fashioned out of metal to provide an overall premium look and feel to the handset.
The handset has a MediaTex X10 octacore processor under the hood with 3GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage with microSD card support, a 13 megapixel rear camera as well as a 3,000mAh battery.
HTC hasn’t confirmed if this handset will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box or Lollipop, but seeing how the One A9 came with Marshmallow, it is highly likely that this smartphone will also have the latest iteration of Android.
No release date has been confirmed as yet for the One X9, HTC has revealed that this handset will cost 2399 yuan when it’s released in China. It’s also yet to confirm if and when this handset will be released in other markets across the globe.
