The HTC One X9 is a handset that we have been hearing a lot about recently. For those who are wondering when the phone will be officially announced, it seems that we might not have to wait much longer. Thanks to a recent teaser image shared by HTC (see image to the right), it seems that the 24th of December will be the date to look forward to.
As you can see in the image, it shows the outline of a phone with an “X”. The wording also suggests that HTC will hold an event for the 24th of December and putting those two things together, we can only assume that this means that the HTC One X9 could be announced tomorrow, or so we hope.
However this seems to contradict earlier rumors that have said that the phone would only be launched in Q1 2016. It is possible that its availability could be in Q1 2016, but its announcement tomorrow so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Specs of the phone also remain a mystery, but here’s what we know so far.
According to the rumors, the HTC One X9 will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display. Under the hood, a MediaTek MT6795 chipset can be found clocked at 2.2GHz. 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage will accompany the handset with a 13MP rear-facing camera with OIS, and a 5MP front-facing camera with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop preinstalled.
