Gamers who are looking forward to more GTA 5 content will be pleased to pleased to learn that Rockstar has recently announced the latest expansion for GTA Online, which for those unfamiliar is basically the multiplayer component of GTA 5. The upcoming expansion is dubbed Executives and Other Criminals.
According to Rockstar’s description of the upcoming expansion, “Become a VIP and create your own criminal organization in the latest addition to Grand Theft Auto Online, Executives and Other Criminals. Featuring all new gameplay modes and opportunities for luxury living, Executives and Other Criminals also includes new customizable apartments, stilt houses in the Vinewood Hills and the ultimate in executive excess: the extravagant, fully staffed and upgradeable Super Yacht.”
The good news is that the upcoming expansion will be a free update that will be released on the 15th of December. However we have some bad news and that is the expansion will not be released for older consoles like the Xbox 360 or the PS3. This shouldn’t really come as a surprise as back in September, Rockstar had confirmed that future Freemode Events will skip last-gen consoles.
According to Rockstar at that time, “As we mentioned previously, we always knew there might be a point where we would reach the technical capacity of what the older generation of consoles can handle as each downloadable update requires additional memory both for assets and for additional scripting.”
