Several months ago Google announced the Pixel C Android tablet. This was an interesting move by Google considering that previously, Google had relied on other OEMs to create Nexus tablets, so the launch of the Pixel C certainly did seem to show some sign that Google wanted more control over its hardware.
That being said at the time of its announcement, Google mentioned that the tablet would only be available in the coming months without any solid dates offered, at least until now. According to a report by Dutch website Tweakers (via Ausdroid), it has been rumored that the Pixel C Android tablet would be finally going on sale next week.
To be more specific, the report claims that the Pixel C tablet will be going on sale on the 8th of December. Given that the report is coming from a Dutch website, we’re not sure if the date is only for the Dutch market, Europe, or if Google is planning a worldwide release, but either way it should probably be best taken with a grain of salt for now.
In terms of pricing, last we heard Google was planning on offering the tablet in 32GB and 64GB options priced at $499 and $599 respectively. There will also be an external keyboard accessory that Google will be selling as an option for $150. Either way check back with us next week to see if the rumor pans out.
