Back in November Google announced that for every $1 you spent using Android Pay, they would donate some money to a charity. In case Google’s altruistic gesture wasn’t enough to convince you to start using Android Pay, what if we told you that there is now something in it for you as well, besides the feeling of having done some charity?
Google’s latest Android Pay promotion involves giving you money, sort of. Basically if you were to use Android Pay anytime from now until the 31st of December, Google will be giving you a $20 gift card to use in a Best Buy store. Now this isn’t actual cash but if you were planning on picking something up from Best Buy anyway, now you’ve saved yourself $20!
That being said the downside to this deal is that it seems to be only valid for Nexus handsets. This means that if you’re using a different Android device like a Samsung or LG phone, then we guess you’d be out of luck. This offer is only valid until the end of the year so if you haven’t activated or used Android pay yet, perhaps you should.
Google also points out that the gift card will be an electronic one that will automatically be added in your Android Pay app. They also point out that it might not appear until the 31st of January 2016, so fret not if you don’t see it pop up right away.
