With the launch of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Apple introduced new features like 3D Touch, and with iOS 9 and for Apple’s newer iPads, a new feature was also added in the form of multitasking, something that iOS users have been begging Apple for for years, and something that the Cupertino company has finally delivered.
That being said, the good news is that if you are using Google’s iOS app, you might be pleased to learn that the app has recently been updated with support for both 3D Touch and multitasking. With 3D Touch, all users have to do is hardpress the screen in order to bring certain shortcuts for the app, such as standard, voice, or image search.
As for iPad users, the multitasking functionality will no doubt be a boon as users can pull up the app when using a different app, thus allowing them to do a quick search on Google while keeping the other window open. So if you’re doing some work or reading and want to do a bit more research, this function will let you do that without taking you away from the other task.
The update should already be available for download via the iTunes App Store, so if you haven’t downloaded it already, go ahead and pop on over to the app store for the download.
