So much so that Samsung has officially launched a companion app of sorts in the form of the S Console Gamepad. As you can see in the screenshot above, basically this is a virtual gamepad designed for use with the Galaxy View. The app can be installed on Android smartphones but here’s the not-so-surprising kicker: it will only play nicely with Samsung handsets.
The upside is that if you do own a Samsung smartphone, then this app might be worth taking a look at. There are various looks and designs that you can choose from, ranging from futuristic setups with a steering wheel as the directional keypad, to a more traditional and realistic-looking gamepad like the one you see above.
According to Samsung, they claim that there are over 100 games that have been optimized for use with the Galaxy View and the S Console Gamepad, although they do not name any. Then again it is a free app so if you’d like to check it out and take it for a spin, pop on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
