Now that we’re just days away from the new year excitement about the devices that will be released in the first half is rising. Galaxy S7 is certainly one of the devices that many are looking forward to, there have already been countless rumors and leaks, the one we have here today claims to confirm the dimensions of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the two flagship handsets that Samsung is expected to unveil on February 20th.
The dimensions have been leaked by Shai Mizrachi who also leaked an accurate diagram for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ earlier this year, so there just might be some truth to them after all.
Mizrachi’s latest diagram reiterates what we have heard recently, that the Galaxy S7 will have a 5.2 inch display and the Galaxy S7 Edge will have a 5.5 inch display, which will make the latter slightly wider and taller at 73mm and 151mm as opposed to the Galaxy S7’s 70.5mm and 143mm.
Samsung is said to retain the metal and glass build it introduced with the flagships this year, the Galaxy S7 is said to have a curved back while a flat back may be in place for the curved screen variant. It also appears that Samsung might drop the IR blaster from these two handsets, a decision that earned it a lot of flak when the Galaxy Note 5 was released sans IR blaster.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are expected to be unveiled before Mobile World Congress 2016 kicks off in the third week of February 2016, with shipments likely to begin from March.
