Facebook Opens Livestream To Companies Now

While Facebook Livestream feature was allowed to be used by journalists a couple of months ago, in addition to the introduction of Live Video and Collages today, here we are with real-time video marketing. Basically, Facebook has enabled every single Verified Page to have this unique ability to broadcast via its Live feature. It does not matter whether you are a sports team, a TV show, a band or a brand, a Live feed can now be kicked off as it accepts comments from viewers as well.

Live for celebrities was launched in August, where it was then opened for Verified Profiles, and in due time, all users. Right now, it seems that the last bastion was for this feature to appear on would be unverified Pages, and this might actually offer protection for users from content that is less than desirable. Not only that, Facebook is not about to notify every single fan concerning the Pages streams.

It looks like Facebook’s strategy would be to galvanize the huge number of audiences that these Pages already have, so that a critical mass can be achieved when it comes to interesting video content. In due time, if all things go well, it might even be expanded to include the likes of celebrity interviews, breaking news, and unique publicity stunts.
