The other day we reported that Nintendo would be holding their final Nintendo Direct Super Smash Bros. conference today. So what did the company reveal? Turns out that there are still more characters making their way onto the game’s roster, and according to Nintendo’s announcement, the latest addition is none other than Bayonetta.
While the original Bayonetta game was available on multiple consoles like the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii U, it was only in 2012 with the announcement of Bayonetta 2 did the game become an exclusive to Nintendo, which was also launched in October of 2014. The character for Super Smash Bros. will be the Bayonetta 2 version.
However if you prefer the original long-haired look of Bayonetta from the original game, fret not because there will be costumes for the character that will give her the long-haired look. Bayonetta will be bundled with the Umbra Clock Tower stage and will be priced at $5.99 if you just want the character alone, or if you want the character and stage it will be priced at $6.99.
This is applicable for both the 3DS and Wii U in which Super Smash Bros. is playable on. According to Nintendo, Bayonetta was the number one choice in their Super Smash Bros. character poll from earlier this year. The company is aiming for a February 2016 release.
