In fact the most we heard was that the service was apparently delayed to 2016, but now according to a report from Bloomberg, the service has actually been put on hold. This information actually comes directly from CBS’s CEO Les Moonves which in a press conference revealed that Apple’s live TV plans is currently on hold.
Like we said, Apple has not formally announced any new services for the Apple TV so we’re not sure how accurate Moonves’ statements are. At the same time being the CEO of CBS probably affords Moonves some insider knowledge that many of us do not have access to, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if his statements are accurate.
In the meantime if live TV streaming isn’t your thing, there are plenty of on-demand streaming services that have been launched by other companies, such as Netflix, HBO,. Hulu, and according to recent reports, Amazon Prime Video will also arriving on the Apple TV in the future.
