Now a couple of months ago Apple released iOS 9.1 and with the release, Apple also introduced a bunch of new and exclusive emojis for the iOS platform. Google then made an announcement that new emojis would arrive for Android and it looks like they are finally making good on that promise.

In an announcement made on Twitter by Google’s Nexus account, it seems that the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is now live and is now rolling out to Nexus handsets. The update will bring about a bunch (about 200) of new emojis that Android users can get to mess around with, along with the usual host of bug fixes and changes to the operating system.
For example some device owners have reported seeing a new tablet navbar, a “Do not disturb” mode, and more. Naturally Nexus handsets will receive the update first but if you don’t own a Nexus device, we reckon you might have to wait awhile until it is your turn.
