The final result is a two-foot long 3D-printed ship that comprises of not hundreds, but thousands of tiny parts. Needless to say, it is not a job for the faint hearted to take on, and 3D printing has also done its fair bit for other serious stuff such as serving up a new heart.
The person behind this Star Destroyer made use of a PowerSpec 3D Pro printer as well as three rolls of filament, where the individual pieces were printed before being hot glued into one massive structure. It is not based on the actual Star Destroyer from Star Wars canon due to copyright infringement issues, but it is certainly an effort worth applauding.
