Samsung-Android-6.0-Marshmallow-Update-TimelineIt seems that OEMs plans to push out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates to their devices are starting to leak. Yesterday we were treated to an alleged roadmap for Lenovo, and the day before also revealed HTC’s plans, and now thanks to a post by SamsungViet.vn (via SamMobile), Samsung’s plans might have been revealed as well.

According to the list, there have been 12 devices mentioned that will receive the update in Q1 2016, and with four more listed that will receive the update in Q2 2016. We’re not sure if this list is complete and that that’s all the devices that will receive the update, or if these devices are the confirmed ones for now.

In any case the list names devices like the Galaxy Note 5, Note Edge, Note 4, Note 4 Duos, S6 Edge+, S6 Edge, S6, S6 Duos, S5, S5 Neo, and the S5 LTE-A as being the handsets that will receive the update in Q1 2016. The Galaxy Alpha, Tab A, Tab S2 9.7, and the Tab S2 8.0 are scheduled to receive theirs in Q2 2016.

We can’t confirm if this list is the real deal, but it does seem to be in line with another leaked roadmap from back in November. It also corroborates an earlier report in August that Samsung devices will only see the update in 2016. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but given that we’re almost towards the end of 2015 we suppose it wouldn’t be a stretch to think that the updates will only arrive next year, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled all the same.
