YouTube Supports VR Video In Android App

It looks like those who are rocking to YouTube for Android will be pleased to note that the app itself has received an update, and in this particular update, support for virtual reality video is thrown into the mix. In other words, one will be able to use Google Cardboard alongside the app in order to enjoy a feeling of immersion as they watch the video on YouTube. Of course, one ought to always bear in mind that only certain apps are more suitable to be viewed in VR compared to the others.

Some of the demos revealed include The Hunger Games-Virtual Reality Experience, where this particular clip is said to provide the viewer with “a sense of depth in every direction so you feel like you’re actually there.” Google claims that such a VR experience “gives you a sense of depth as you look around in every direction. Near things look near, far things look far.”
