Heads up fans, if you were sufficiently teased by the Warcraft movie teaser from the other day, be teased no more because the folks at Legendary have officially released the trailer for the upcoming Warcraft movie, which you can check it out for yourself in the video above, and boy are we excited!
The trailer does a good job at hyping up the movie, which is a combination of both real-life, real actors, and liberal use of CG, giving off a Lord of the Rings kind of vibe, which is good. That being said, some of the comments have called the movie and its effects a bit cartoonish, which we have to agree to a certain extent.
However Blizzard’s games, especially World of Warcraft, have been designed to look that way, what with the exaggerated shoulder pads and large weapons. So for fans of the game, we suppose the slight cartoonish touch might not necessarily be a bad thing, but for those hoping for a slightly darker feel, you might be disappointed.
The Warcraft movie has been pegged for a 10th of June release in the US. Historically videogame movie adaptations have never done well so here’s hoping that with Blizzard’s name attached to it, the Warcraft movie will be the exception. In the meantime if you have a couple of minutes to spare, you can check out the trailer in the video above.
