A couple of months ago, Sony announced the Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone which is the company’s latest handset. One of its unique features is that it comes with a 4K display. Now if you like what you see and want to get your hands on it, Sony’s promised November availability has been delivered.
It seems that online retailers such as Amazon and Expansys are offering up the phone at around the $779 mark. Do take note that these phones are unlocked meaning that they are not tied to any particularly carrier so you will still a plan and a line if you want to truly take advantage of the phone, but basically it means you have the freedom of choice in picking your carrier.
However we should also point out that these phones are the international variant of the phone, and as such they do not come with an official Sony warranty, so if anything goes wrong you’d have to contact the seller directly to deal with it, or you will have to take it to a repair shop and have it fixed where you will most likely be charged.
Unfortunately no word on when the Xperia Z5 Premium will officially debut in the US, but if you’d rather not wait around and find out, then perhaps these unlocked international variants could be worth considering.
