There’s a feud going on between T-Mobile and Sprint, both carriers are trying to dent each other with competing offers and rebuking of the other’s claims and it doesn’t look like this is going to stop anytime soon. T-Mobile is now targeting Sprint with a $200 offer for its customers hoping to entice them with it so that they jump ship and switch to Magenta instead.
This offer has been announced merely days after T-Mobile said that it would provide free LTE data to all existing postpaid Simple Choice customers for a full month as a holiday gift. The latest promotion will give an extra $200 to “long-suffering” Sprint customers for every line that they switch to T-Mobile. No trade in required.
Sprint customers also qualify for T-Mobile’s Carrier Freedom program which promises them up to $650 to cover their early termination fees or the balance owed on their phone plan, though phone trade-in is required in this case when switching the number over to T-Mobile.
T-Mobile is extending the $200 incentive to all Sprint customers on postpaid and prepaid plans as well as Boost and Virgin Mobile. Customers can switch their numbers over to T-Mobile’s Simple Choice postpaid plan starting tomorrow and they will automatically get a $200 credit per line on their bill.
Magenta also says that it will have “additional gifts” for Verizon and AT&T customers as well which it will disclose over the next few weeks.
