It was reported only a couple of days ago that T-Mobile had approved the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Nexus 6 on its network, there’s good news today for folks who own this handset on Magenta. The Marshmallow update for Nexus 6 is now rolling out for T-Mobile subscribers, as always the update is being sent out over-the-air.
T-Mobile did take its sweet time in providing the Marshmallow update for Nexus 6, considering the fact that Google released it about a month ago, nevertheless it’s good to see that the rollout has now begun.
As is the case with OTA updates, it’s being sent out in phases, don’t expect the update go live across all regions at once. It will likely take a couple of days for this update to go live for everybody, but at least users can now rest assured that they will soon get a taste of Marshmallow.
T-Mobile is rolling out Marshmallow build MRA58X for the Nexus 6 on its network, the update does feature support for LTE band 12 as well as Wi-Fi calling on T-Mobile. It weighs in at just under 700MB which is why users are advised to have at least 50 percent charge in the battery and a good Wi-Fi connection before they decided to download the update.
Here’s to hoping that the update doesn’t run into any issues and T-Mobile doesn’t have to halt the rollout like it did for the Nexus 7 (2013).
