For those unfamiliar with the game, Super Star Wars was originally released for the Super NES back in 1992 and was based on the first Star Wars movie. It wasn’t exactly the most groundbreaking video game, but it was pretty fun especially if you enjoy the run-and-gun kind of gameplay, with the added bonus of the game featuring Star Wars characters.
According to Sony’s description of the game, it seems that the re-release will be slightly enhanced with new features. “Enhanced for PS4 with new save features, leaderboards, Trophies, and updated display and controller options. Risk your life as a Jedi Knight! Join Luke, Han, and Chewbacca in their fierce war against the evil Empire.”
Note that the game was actually re-released in 2009 for the Nintendo Virtual Console, but this re-release will be headed onto the PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita. It is also a cross buy title meaning that if you buy it for the PS4, you can play the PS Vita version too and vice versa.
