SoundCloud has a very robust community of music creators who use the platform to showcase their work, be it a remix or an original, SoundCloud is one of the best destinations to find music from up and coming artist or even enthusiasts who just like to create music in their free time. Today a new app called SoundCloud Pulse has been released, it’s meant entirely for the creators that are the heart and soul of this platform.
This is a companion to the existing SoundCloud app that has been around for quite some time, the app is used for searching and listing to music, Pulse is aimed at creators so that they can easily manage their accounts and keep interacting with their communities all from the comfort of their smartphone.
SoundCloud Pulse will enable creators to reply to their comments, get up to date stats about the performance of their music, follow other users and share new sounds both publicly and privately. Down the line the app is going to get even more features such as ability to edit track information, the ability to upload tracks, expanded messaging capability and more detailed stats.
The team believes that having two separate apps for listeners and creators is the best way to properly meet the need of users and the people who are actually making the content, having two apps will enable SoundCloud to iterate in each more often without disturbing the core features in the other app.
SoundCloud Pulse version 1.0 has only been released for Android at this point in time, an iOS version being developed and will be released in the near future.
