With the updated version that bumps the app to version 6.11, it brings about a new feature that will allow users to save video messages (a feature that was introduced a couple of years ago). According to Skype, “When you record or receive a memorable video message that you want to keep, just tap on it to save it to your phone’s photo gallery.” This lets users keep videos from Skype so that they can rewatch it later.
In addition to the ability to save video messages, the updated Skype for Android now lets users manage to conversations better, like deleting messages, marking them as read, or muting notifications. There is also the ability to search for conversation content in addition to contacts and group names. If you’d like to get your hands on the updated version of Skype, if your phone hasn’t automatically updated it for you, then head on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
