When it comes to benchmarking handsets, there are different ways to interpret the results, and while benchmark results are general in nature, they are not an exact representation of how it will perform in real life. Having said that, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A9 (also known as the SM-A9000 with its hardware specifications more or less revealed already) has leaked on Geekbench, where it will feature the Qualcomm MSM8976 processor alongside a quartet of Cortex-A72 cores at 1.8 GHz, and four Cortex-A53 which have been clocked at 1.4 GHz.
Not only that, the benchmark leak points to a very real 3GB of RAM located underneath the hood as well. It seems that this chipset does seem to be a better performer where single-core performance is concerned, whereas the multi-core measurements happen to fare not as well as before. The Snapdragon 620 processor is not a slowpoke by any means, as it happens to be the very first processor in the 600 series from Qualcomm which will boast of 4K video recording capability.
All in all, it is a matter of time before the device in its final form factor and hardware specifications are revealed. Hopefully it will be affordable to the masses when it hits the market.
