When a particular title gets an announcement, touting it to be a full-fledged game, then there is reason to be joyful about the situation, especially when the game itself is worth and engrossing enough to be played. Here we are with word that Overwatch is set to arrive as a full-fledged title on the Sony PS4 and Xbox One, where it will carry a $60 sticker price tag along with it.
Overwatch beta has been playable on the PC platform prior to this announcement, and to hear that Blizzard has informed GameStop concerning Overwatch being a title on the PC for $60 a pop, in addition to it making its way to the Sony PS4 and Xbox One is certainly a pleasant surprise, although the end result will require a fair amount of patience if one were to take into consideration the release of the title on all those mentioned platforms next winter.
Taking everything into consideration, it does make a fair amount of sense, as Blizzard would certainly have scratched their head when it comes to monetizing the title should it be made a free-to-play game. A concurrent release on consoles as well as that on the PC is no longer a strange idea in this day and age, so kudos to Blizzard for bringing this about.
