It looks like the long wait for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for owners of the Moto X Style and the Moto X (2nd generation) is over, although one should bear in mind that the update will hit these handsets in various stages, so if you haven’t picked it up already, some patience would do you a whole world of good. At this point in time, it does seem as though only Moto X Style units that were bought in Brazil as well as India will be able to enjoy the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, in addition to the Brazil-bought Moto X (2nd generation).
In addition, full deployment of Android 6.0 Marshmallow is said to take a few weeks, and one is unable to initiate the process manually unlike other devices. You simply need to sit tight and wait for the update notification to appear on your device, never mind the fact that you happen to reside in either Brazil or India.
All in all, one can just cross their fingers that they will be able to see the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to be released for the aforementioned handsets in various other territories – and hopefully sooner rather than later. Apart from that, the third generation Moto X Pure Edition is also said to pick up Android 6.0 Marshmallow “in the next few weeks”.
