We are now in that time of the year when the rumor mill starts churning out rumors about flagship handsets from major companies that are due to be refreshed in the coming year. There’s no shortage of such reports about the Galaxy S7 and now we’re even hearing stuff from unofficial sources about LG’s next flagship handset. Rumor has it that the LG G5 is going to feature a metal unibody design which will no doubt lend a very premium look and feel to the handset.
A rumor out of Korea claims that LG is going to go with a proper full metal unibody design for LG G5 that’s expected to hit the market early year. It’s certainly going to be a major change in the company’s design philosophy for its flagship handset, one that fans have been waiting for.
It’s unclear what sort of a material LG is going to go for if it does design to introduce a full metal unibody build with the LG G5 and how it’s going to tackle any supply related issues that this might bring up.
Not much is known about LG G5 at this point in time, primarily because LG isn’t going to confirm anything about it before the launch day, and because there are still a few months to go before this device is due to be made public. Till then we are likely going to hear a lot more rumors about this LG flagship smartphone.
