Earlier this week we reported that the Lumia 950 would be going on sale today and sure enough it has. Now if you were to buy the phone without actually handling it yourself, you would be taking a rather big leap. However if you’re a fan of the “try before you buy” mantra and want to take the phone for a spin, come 26th November you will be able to.
Both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are currently available for testing in Microsoft’s store but in terms of availability, you couldn’t purchase it just yet. However according to a post on Microsoft’s blog, they have announced that the phone will be available for purchase via their brick and mortar stores in the US come 26th of November which is next Thursday.
It does seem odd that Microsoft would choose Thanksgiving to bring their phones into the store, but in case you do have some time and would love to try the phone and buy it on the same day, you’ll want to mark that date down on your calendar. Both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are Microsoft’s flagship smartphones at the moment running on Windows 10 Mobile.
Both phones will share some specs, but basically the difference is that the XL model will be the larger of the two and will feature slightly higher-end specs. However if you’d rather have a more manageable phone that you can use in one hand, then the Lumia 950 might be worth checking out.
