Nintendo Introduces Linkle, The Female Version Of Link
Given how prominently Link is featured in The Legend of Zelda games, many the casual gamer has mistaken Link to be Zelda. That being said, what if Link were a female character? The idea of such a character isn’t new. In the past there have been hints that Nintendo toyed with the idea of a female Link.
In fact it was a few months ago that there were hints that such a character would be made a reality, and sure enough it has. Nintendo has officially taken the wraps off the female version of Link, in which she is known as Linkle and will be a playable female character in Hyrule Warriors. So gamers who feel that there should be more diversity in games, Hyrule Warriors could be worth checking out.
Now as you can see in the pictures, the design of Linkle is pretty much in line with what we’ve seen before, and also as seen in the previous teaser. Linkle will be an exclusive to the 3DS spinoff Hyrule Warriors Legends which is expected to be released in North America come 25th of March 2016.
We have to say that given her weapons, which appear to be a pair of hand crossbows, we are curious as to how Linkle will play in the game. Either way if you had planned on getting the game, you can look forward to taking the character for a spin.
