Note that this isn’t a single OLED panel because we can only imagine that a panel of that proportion would be insanely expensive and difficult to make. Instead LG has teamed up with French design firm Wilmotte & Associés to create a layout that would accommodate 140 55-inch curved OLED panels, resulting in what you can see in the photos.
The end result is a setup that spans 13 meters high and 8 meters across, so safe to say that this is a massive display and will no doubt do a good job of showcasing LG’s technology. The display will also act as signage for the airport and there will actually be two of them on display, so if you are in the area you should definitely check it out.
According to Park Wan-su, president and CEO at Incheon International Airport, “These OLED displays perfectly complement the advanced technology that our airport has become known for. We are always eager to showcase to the millions of travelers every year the cutting-edge technology that originates from Korea. OLED is a prime example of that.”
