LG Has Roku-Powered Smart TVs In Its Lineup

Smart TVs are nothing special these days, as we have seen major manufacturers take up the mantle in recent times, so much so that it can be rather difficult to pick a model to suit your needs due to the kinds of choices that you are flooded with. Well, LG has added more company to the party with their new range of Roku-powered Smart TVs that will sit in the entry-level niche. Do take note that LG is adamant that these entry-level smart TVs will be a one-off effort, and they do not intend to drop WebOS anytime soon.

Apparently, the launch of these Roku-powered smart TVs happened to be done on the quiet, as they were launched via Best Buy just a few days ago. The new range comprises of the 55” 55LF5700 and the 65” 65LF5700, where apart from the screen size difference, they are pretty much the same where hardware specifications are concerned.

Features include a 1080p LED-backlit LCD panel with a 60Hz refresh rate, Wi-Fi connectivity, a trio of HDMI ports, and a single USB input. The 55” model is going for $550 a pop, whereas its larger sized sibling will cost nearly twice as much at $1,000. Would you be willing to give any of these a go if you are shopping for a smart TV?
