It has been over a month since Google released Android 6.0 Marshmallow but the update is only widely available for Nexus smartphones and tablets at this point in time. OEMs are working to get the update ready but that means end users are having to wait even longer. Word on the street is that LG is going to start rolling out the Marshmallow update for LG G3 in the middle of December.
The report has emerged from Poland and claims that the LG G3 Marshmallow update is going to be released by mid-December, presumably between December 16th and December 18th. Bear in mind that so far there has been no official confirmation from LG itself.
Once the update is rolled out in Poland one would expect that it will gradually go live for LG G3 owners across the globe, and that’s what’s expected to happen.
As far as LG’s current flagship is concerned it’s believed that LG will start rolling out Marshmallow for the G4 in the very near future. It’s expected to come out in Poland first as well before going live in other markets across the globe.
Those who own a carrier device may end up having to wait even more since carriers first tend to put the update through various tests before sending them out, that’s really the case for most smartphone owners in the United States, so they may not receive the update until early next year.
