Last week during BlizzCon 2015, Blizzard announced their latest Hearthstone expansion in the form of League of Explorers. As Blizzard stated then, the expansion was pegged for a release on the 12th of November which is today, so if you are a fan of the game and are looking forward to new content, you’ll be pleased to learn that the League of Explorers expansion for Hearthstone is now live.
According to a note by Blizzard, “In order to access The League of Explorers once it goes live in your region, please restart your Hearthstone client.” For those learning about League of Explorers for the first time, this makes it Hearthstone’s fifth expansion, with the previous expansion being The Grand Tournament which was released back in August.
Unlike The Grand Tournament which introduced a ton of new cards, The League of Explorers is similar to Blackrock Mountain and Curse of Naxxramas. While the game will introduce new cards, the main focus here is on defeating dungeon bosses in card battles, in which if you successfully defeat all you will gain access to special cards.
The League of Explorers will also introduce new mechanics and class challenges to the game. If you’d like to get your hands on the game, head on over to Blizzard’s website where they are pricing it at $19.99 for the entire game. Alternatively gamers can opt to purchase access to individual wings, but safe to say it is cheaper as a whole. In the meantime if you’d like to check out the new cards, head on over to Hearthstone’s Facebook page for the details.
