Amazon has announced today that Amazon Prime Now, its one hour delivery service, can now be used in Los Angeles for food delivery from local restaurants. Amazon Prime Now users in the city of angels can use the service to get food delivered from their favorite local restaurants including but not limited to Umami Burger, Baby Blues BBQ, Hurry Curry of Tokyo and many more.
The company wasn’t always in the business of delivering your food, it started this experiment in September this year and it was limited to Seattle, just last month the restaurant delivery service was expanded to Portland and now it arrives in Los Angeles. It’s likely that this may be further expanded next month with more cities being added to the list early next year.
To place an order use the standalone Amazon Prime app to view participating restaurants, check out menus and track status of delivery in real time as the driver travels from the restaurant to your delivery address. It promises that food will be delivered within one hour or less.
Restaurant delivery on Amazon Prime Now is available is select zip codes of Los Angeles which will expand over the next few days. Use the Prime Now app to check whether or not the service is being offered in your area.
