It looks like Honda has their Acura brand, Nissan plays with the Infiniti name, Toyota’s Lexus branch has certainly sold its fair bit of cars – which can only mean one thing – there is demand in the high end vehicle market. Hyundai of South Korea has identified this to be the company’s next area of growth where their automotive arm is concerned, and hence has announced the new ‘Genesis’ brand which will go head to head against the other of the world’s leading luxury car brands
From next month onward, we should be able to see half a dozen models line up from the Genesis brand, where it will target customers who want something new with a luxurious edge. Citing ‘human-centered’ luxury as the experience that will be a hallmark of the new models, it will boast of the highest standards of performance, design and innovation.
Genesis will be a standalone brand, where there should be six new Genesis models by the time 2020 arrives, with Hyundai targeting to place themselves in a highly competitive position by then against the other world renowned luxury car brands. Expect Genesis models to stand out by boasting of outstanding driving dynamics and design, concentrating on a personalized, hassle-free customer experience. We do wonder how long will the rich and famous of the world take to warm up to this latest entrant to the luxury market, but do expect the old guard to hold their own as well. [Press Release]
