Earlier this month it was suggested that HTC had a new phone in the works dubbed the HTC One X9. Initial rumors had pegged the device as being a high-end model, but it was later contradicted with another rumor indicating that perhaps the handset might be of the mid-range variety.
While we suppose the specs of the phone is really anyone’s guess at this point in time, thanks to a recent sighting at China’s version of the FCC, TENAA, alleged images of the phone has surfaced. While the original sighting wasn’t too clear, it does seem to resemble the handset in the photos that were spotted on TENAA, at least as far as the front is concerned.
While it might be a bit dark, you can make out the fact that the top and bottom portions of the phone have speaker grills, indicating that we are probably looking at a BoomSound stereo speaker-like setup. The rest of the phone is pretty slim and sleek in its design and is also reminiscent of the recently launched HTC One A9 albeit with some slight changes.
As for its specs, some of the rumored specs of the phone include a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset, a 13MP and 5MP camera combo, 16GB of storage, a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and 2GB of RAM with Android 5.0 Lollipop running the show. No word on whether it will launch stateside, but given what we’ve seen it seems that it could be close to being announced, so hopefully we won’t have to wait much longer for the details.
