The HTC One M9 is the company’s flagship smartphone and was launched earlier this year. However it looks like before the end of the year, we are treated to another HTC One M9 variant and this time it comes in the form of the HTC One M9s, but despite sharing the name of HTC’s flagship, that’s pretty much where the similarities end.
The phone will come with a 5-inch Full HD display and under the hood, the handset will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset. There will also be 2GB of RAM accompanying the device along with 16GB of storage, and the good news is that it will also support microSD cards so expanding the phone’s memory should not be an issue.
As for the camera on the phone, the HTC One M9s will feature a 13MP shooter on the back. This isn’t the same as the flagship, but the upside is that it will feature Optical Image Stabilization so even if the megapixel count isn’t as high, hopefully the inclusion of OIS will help make things better.
The front camera is of the 4MP UltraPixel variety, and last but not least users can look forward to a 2,840mAh battery that keeps the phone going. It is priced at $390 and will be available in Taiwan come 21st November. Unfortunately there was no mention of whether or not it will make its way stateside or to other markets.
