It looks like Google is really getting into the Star Wars fever. Just yesterday we revealed that Google is giving its users the choice of choosing either the Light or Dark Side, in which their choice will more or less apply the corresponding theme across Google’s products and services. There was even a Star Wars-related Easter Egg.
Now if you’ve always wondered what it might be like to experience Star Wars in a more immersive setting, you’re in luck because Google has teamed up with Disney and Verizon to create some Star Wars virtual reality experiences. By using Google Cardboard, they plan to deliver Star Wars content to users come December 2.
According to a post on the Star Wars website, “Coming on December 2 is a new virtual reality experience developed along with Google and Verizon. This will feature the first-of-its-kind serialized Google Cardboard Virtual Reality (VR) experience that combines a compelling story, which ties directly into the opening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with the very latest cutting-edge Virtual Reality technology. “
Now if you don’t have a Cardboard viewer already, fret not because there are plenty of options available via Google. Users can choose from pretty standard designs, or if they can spare the extra cash, they can also opt for some of the fancier options.
