Now if you’re looking to do your part and give back to society, you might be pleased to learn that Google has launched a new Android Pay initiative that will help you do that. Basically until the 31st of December 2015, Google has promised that everytime you use Android Pay, the company will be donating $1 to DonorsChoose.org.
For those unfamiliar, DonorsChoose.org is a foundation aimed at giving children with special needs in the US an education. The initiative will see Google give up to $1 million to the foundation, and on the upcoming Black Friday (27th November), Google will be doubling the amount which means everytime you use Android Pay on that day, $2 will be donated instead of $1.
Even if you currently don’t use Android Pay and if you want to end your year doing something good for society, perhaps you might want to consider activating the feature. More details on the initiative and how to setup Android Pay can be found on Google’s website.
