The update has begun rolling out in South Korea so we’re not sure when it will make its way to other markets, but presumably it will be soon. It is possible that Samsung could preinstall the latest firmware in the watches that are making their way to retail stores, but in case you have bought it already, you will want to keep an eye out for firmware update R732XXU2BOKF.
According to XDA forum member supersoulfly, here are some of the new features you can expect. For starters there will be screen timeout options ranging from 15 seconds up to 5 minutes. There are also new apps like a World Clock app, a Starbucks app, Flipboard, News Briefing, and a navigation app which seems to be specific to South Korea.
Notification text has also been made bigger when you double tap on it. There is also the ability to auto open apps when you stop rotating the bezel on an icon, thus saving you an extra step in the process. The watch will also vibrate upon disconnection so that you know when it loses its connectivity. Like we said no word on when it will roll out on a larger scale, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled.
