According to a report from Liliputing, it seems that they have discovered an FCC filing for the Garmin Vivohub 2. According to the description on its FCC listing, it has been described as a gadget that turns “your TV into a multifunction smart TV.” As you can see in the photo above, it clearly connects to your TV via the HDMI port.
The specs of the device includes a 1GHz Amlogic dual-core chipset, 1GB of RAM, and WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities. Oddly enough it also seems to run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which given that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the latest build, this is rather old and an odd choice. That being said, we need to point out something irregular.
Garmin’s website currently lists the product but according to its description, it has nothing to do with its description listed at the FCC, but rather it has been described as the successor to the Vivohub that has the ability to synchronize and monitor data from its Vivofit trackers. We’re not sure which is which so we guess we’ll just have to wait for Garmin to clear things up for us.
