It looks like the next generation Samsung Galaxy A8 (yes, there will be one that will arrive in 2016) has leaked from the FCC database as it had to go through the relevant certification tests before being deemed worthy of a general release to the masses. The model number itself has been listed with an FCC ID of A3LSCV32, whereas the existing Samsung Galaxy A8 model carries the A3LSMA800S number.
When one turns to the Equipment under Testing (EUT) section of the filing, the FCC claims that A3LSCV32 will have a similar enclosure and circuit board as that of its predecessor. Not only that, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antenna that are located alongside the adjacent circuitry will also be the same as the previous generation Galaxy A8, which clearly points to this as a successor.
Apart from that, the 2016 Galaxy A8 will measure 157.9mm x 76.9 mm, and chances are it will have a 5.68” display, a 3050mAh battery capacity, running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is also touted to arrive with the Exynos 7420 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 16MP shooter at the back. As for the pricing details, I suppose it would not be too much more expensive than its predecessor, or perhaps it will maintain a similar price point.
