This is massive especially when you consider that Nokia, who was one of the world’s biggest phone makers and also Finland’s largest company back in the day, only managed an earnings of 92 million Euros. This means the Supercell had earned nearly ten times that of Nokia which we have to say is impressive.
The company’s earnings also made them the country’s biggest money-maker. That being said, there are banks and insurance companies that have made much more, but apparently because their income includes subsidiaries and branches abroad that as far as companies located solely in Finland are concerned, Supercell takes the cake.
It would also seem that Supercell might have stolen the crown from King, the developer of Candy Crush, a game in which it was revealed earlier this year that players had spent $1.3 billion in in-app purchases for 2014, and was making $633,000 a day back in 2013. The company was also recently acquired by Activision Blizzard.
